A street hawker is a small business man who sells various things moving from street to street. He is a vendor.He sells various cheap and fancy things and moves from door to door. He has no fixed shop. He carries his things sometimes on his head, sometimes on his hand and sometimes on his head-cart. So he is a moving shop. A street hawker usually lives in a slum of a city. Sometimes he lives in a mess house some other hawkers. He earns his livelihood by selling fancy and other things in the streets, He sells those things which attract the children and women. He sells toys, clothing, sweets, fruits, utensils, cosmetics ice-cream, ribbon. imitation goods, chanachur and many other things of daily use. A street hawker knows his business well He tries to attract the attention of his customers in many ways. He often sings in the name of his goods. He puts on strange dress and cries in a peculiar way. A street hawker is a cunning man. He generally comes out in the street at noon when women are free. His life style is very simple. His income is very small. So, he puts on ordinary dress and eats simple food. His economic condition is not good. He works hard but he lives from hand to mouth.
