If you fail to see the person but only the disability, then, who is blind?
If you cannot hear your brother's cry for justice, who is deaf?
If you do not communicate with your sister but separate her from you, who is disabled?
If your heart and your mind do not reach out to your neighbor, who has the mental handicap?
If you do not stand up for the rights of all persons, who is cripple?
Your attitude towards persons with disabilities may be our biggest handicap and yours too.
After reading this poem i have changed my thoughts about the disabled people and how is important to respect them the same way as other people. Is very important to not judge a person by his disability, look at a person's inside not his appearance.
I chose a picture of handicap people playing basketball , because disabled people are like you and i. They should not be judged by their disability, they should be treated the same as normal people.
Racism is like a knife.
It hurts and takes life.
We all have rights.
Our skin doesn't have to be light.
What a shame.
That we don't know we are all the same.
Life is fun.
But you only get one.
So why listen to lies?
From random guys.
We are all special.
Like god's angel.
Why is racism here?
It only causes fear.
Have respect and have no regret.
