A computer is a wonder of modern science. It is an electronic machine that can quickly make calculations, store, rearrange and retrieve information, or control another machine. Its main feature is speed and accuracy. The main components of a computer are a CPU, a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, etc. The usefulness of computer is immense in the present world. Today's world is called the world of computers. It is understood that true development is impossible without the introduction of a computer in every sphere of our life. The computer is being used in the education sector. Computer education has been introduced in schools and college levels in Bangladesh. The results of SSC, HSC and many other examinations, admission tests, etc. are published shortly with the help of a computer. The use of computers in commerce and trade is remarkable. The computer has occupied the entire region of commerce in developed countries. Our country has also introduced computers in banks, private and government offices. Moreover, the computer is playing a vital role in airlines, railways, shops, laboratories, hospitals, libraries, etc. It is also used to prepare electric bills, record telephonic conversations and send reminders to others. In the field of medical diagnosis and printing technology, computerized machines are doing wonders. Computers dominate every sphere of man's life. We cannot imagine modern life without a computer. Finally, we have to admit that the computer has changed our lifestyle. It will bring about further revolutionary changes in the near future. Science should be meant for the service of humanity and the computer is the greatest contribution of science.
