Women are half of the total population of Bangladesh. These women are contributing to the overall development of our socio-economic condition. But the condition of female education is not well at all. Now it is optimistic that women are contributing to society willingly. But in the rural areas of Bangladesh, the girls are not sent to school. Instead, they are married off before completing their secondary education. Our so-called male-dominated society still has disbelief regarding female education. In addition to this, early marriage, family restrictions, child-rearing, etc. are actively working as the main barriers to the way of female education. The poverty, illiteracy, rapid growth of population, social prejudice, etc. are the main reasons behind these barriers. As women complete almost 95% of household works, we all should be aware of the importance of female education. If the women are ignorant, no nation will be able to develop. The government has already taken several steps to ensure female education. For example, compulsory primary education, a stipend for female students, and free education up to Degree level have been introduced. So, everyone should play a role to ensure female education.
