A kitchen garden means such a place where different types of vegetables and culinary herbs are grown for the use of the family. A kitchen garden is generally made adjacent to one's house. My kitchen garden is situated to the northern part of our house near a small pond. My kitchen garden gets much sunlight and I can irrigate it easily by the pond water. I take care of my kitchen garden myself. I work there twice a day regularly. In the morning I water the vegetable plants. Then in the afternoon when I return from college work in my kitchen garden for an hour. I loose the soil, weed out the grasses and repair the drainage system. I plant various kinds of vegetables in my kitchen garden. Tomato, cucumber, gourd, pepper, sweet potato, papaya, puree etc are the main items in my kitchen garden. My kitchen garden provides our family with necessary vegetables all the year round. We don't have to buy the costly vegetables from the market. So my kitchen garden helps our family to save a lot of money every year. Moreover, I enjoy eating fresh food grown in my own hands. I feel very happy that my kitchen garden comes to a little financial support to my family.
