Environmental pollution means a remarkable change in chemical, physical and biological characteristics of environment. Objects, forces and conditions, both natural and man--lede make the environment. The main elements of environment are human beings, animals, plants, soil, air and water. Our environment is being polluted in many ways. Air is polluted by smoke and water is polluted by waste and filth. Another form of environmental pollution is sound pollution. Sound is polluted by vehicle horns and microphones. Odour is polluted by dumped and untreated human waste. Environmental pollution creates a ruinous effect. If our environment is polluted, we cannot live a comfortable life even a day. Pollution causes the unnecessary death of millions of people all over the world. We suffer from various fatal and chronic diseases owing to environmental pollution. Environmental pollution causes changes in the world's climate and brings about different kinds of natural disasters . It hinders the balance and harmony of environment. So we should take determined action to prevent environmental pollution. We should be kind of animals and plant more trees. Action should be taken against indiscriminate use of chemicals. We should raise consciousness among the common people about the destructive effects of environmental pollution. The mass media can play a vital role in this regard. By keeping our environmental pollution free, we can ensure a healthier and happier life for our future generation.
