Bangladesh is a beautiful, green, small but populous country. It is situated in the south-east Asia. She is surrounded by India on three sides. We share a bit of the south east border with Myanmar. The position of Bangladesh is also marked by the world's largest sea coast to its south. Bangladesh gained independence in 1947 from Britain and afterwards from Pakistan in December 1971. The name of) the capital of Bangladesh is Dhaka. The most of the town people of Bangladesh O belong to the middle class or the lower middle class. The majority of the population who live in villages belongs to the poorer class. Bangladesh has a cool and humanly culture. The people here lead a very happy and contented life. They are hospitable by nature. They eat the traditional foods, wear simple dresses and enjoy the age old festivals like Eid, Puja, Pohela Boishakh etc. The people of Bangladesh commonly speak the Bangla language for which they fought a bloody O fight in 1952. Besides, there are some trita languages that are spoken by the people in the hill tracks. Some people use English as second language efficiently enough to serve their purpose. 85% of the people are Muslims by religion. The En rest are the Hindus, the Buddhists and the Christians who live with each other peacefully. Though Bangladesh is a small country it has as many as four world heritage sites and many other tourist spots. Bengal, mountains and the Sundarbans are the most important of them. The climate of Bangladesh is moderate one. It means, the climate here is neither too hot nor too cold. Bangladesh has as many as six seasons full of variety bringing the gifts of nature. On the other hand, natural calamities are common to visit Bangladesh every year. Bangladesh is a riverine country. The Padma, the be Meghna, the Brahmaputra, the Jamuna, the Surma, the Karnafuli etc. are the main rivers of the country. There grow in numerous fruits and food grains in the fertile land of Bangladesh. The main crops are paddy, wheat, potato, jute etc. We export tea to foreign countries and earn a great deal of foreign exchange. Most 0 people here are farmers. There are also the people of other professions like wagee arners, businessmen, servicemen etc. I feel a great love for my country Bangladesh. I believe that if we can make the best use of our resources and can i bring order in the society we shall soon become one of the developed countries in the world.
