A postman is a familiar figure to every one of us. He wears a khaki dress. He starts his work in the post office. He opens the mailboxes and sorts out letters and parcels. He delivers these to the proper addressees He uses his bicycle to do this job. He does his work properly and sincerely. He goes to the addresses and knocks at the door. He delivers the necessary things and resumes his work to deliver the next letter. He takes the signatures of the addressees when he delivers the registered letters or parcels or money orders. We eagerly wait for him. Sometimes. in villages, a postman has to read out the letters for illiterate people. He does not hesitate to discharge his duties. A postman does a great job for the people. He contributes to our national communication. He links our hearts with our dear ones. A postman lives a very humble life. He does immense work but he himself is ill-paid, ill-fed, and ill-clad. Everyone should be aware to improve his lot.
