Family is the greatest social institution where the family members co-exist. It is an economic and welfare body too with the adults who raise children teaching them social, moral, and religious values. A family can either be a nuclear one or an extended one. A nuclear family is a one-unit family of two generations only. On the other hand, a large joint family consists of three generations. grandparents, parents and children, sometimes aunts and uncles, I live in a nuclear family Our family consists of only four members. My father is a government employee and my mother is a school teacher. My sister is a school student. The popularity of a nuclear family is increasing day by day because its members do not face any economic hardship, Moreover, as there are only a limited number of children in a nuclear family, parents can look after them properly. As ours is a small family, our parents have a lot of scope and money to spend on welfare, In fact, the members of a nuclear family grow up physically and mentally in a healthy environment. But a nuclear family is not free from disadvantages. If both parents are busy with their work, life becomes willy boring in a nuclear family. Children become lonely and bored. They do not learn how to co-operate with others. But we do not at all feel bored and lonely as not only our parents but also we always busy with doing our respective work. In a nutshell, I would like to say that every type of family has its own merits and demerits. It is our responsibility to make a family happy.
