The author I like most is Rabindranath Tagore. He was born in 1861 in Calcutta. He is known as world poet. He was a great patriot. He hated narrow nationalism. For this reason, he is very much favourite to me. He visited many countries of the world. He founded the University of Viswabharati. From the poet of Bengal, Rabindranath became the poet of the world. Actually he was the voice of this subcontinent. He was a versatile genius. He wrote poems, novels, short stories, dramas essays etc. His novels have brought about a great change in Bengali literature. Naukadubi, Ghare Baire, Shesher Kabita, Jogajog, Chaturang etc. are his famous novels. He also wrote a number of drama such as Chira Kumar Sabha, Rakta Karabi, Raja-O-Rani, Bisarjon etc. He wrote many short stories too.
