Admission in universities of Bangladesh has now become very hard and competitive for the students seeking higher education. The students generally want to get admitted into these universities. But the number of seats of the public universities is very poor in comparison with applicants. Hence the university authorities set a point of minimum qualification to apply for admission. Then the students are to appear an admission test which sorts out the best fitted students. The GPA or marks obtained in SSC and HSC examinations are counted with the admission test score. Then the authorities make a short list of the students on the basis of their performance. They select only the high scorers against the seat capacity for enrolment. As a result, the students fail to get admitted into public universities. They try to get admitted into private universities which are very expensive. Those who are unable to afford the high expenditure apply for government and non government colleges under the National University. There, too, specially in government colleges, the students have to face an admission test. Thus admission in universities of Bangladesh is really a hard job, especially for poor and less bright students.
