First day at college is a matter of new experience in a new environment. It makes one thrilled and excited. First day at college is also a matter of joy and enjoyment. One also feels proud of coming to college for the first time. It is true that feelings vary from student to student. I have also a different feeling concerning my first day at college. Getting up from bed early in the morning, I bcgan to get mentally prepared. I took breakfast a little bit earlier and unsteadily . I put on new dress and rode on my bike. I felt very excited when I entered the college campus on that day. After a while the bell rang and all the students took seat. Calm and quiet environment existed then. A teacher came to the class and introduced himself. He was our English teacher. He delivered his lecture in English. I could not understand his speech and felt very nervous. Meanwhile, the Principal along wit other teachers entered into our classroom. The Principal delivered a short speech and introduced other teachers to us. After this, he along with other teachers took leave from us. And the English teacher taught us something instructive. Then the Bengali teacher came in and took our class. He was very funny. He delivered his lecture with amusement and entertainment. All of us liked his lecture very much. However I noticed some differences between my school and college. My college seemed to be much bigger than my school. Teachers appeared to be more knowledgeable, wiser and more philosophic minded . Beautiful environment of our campus, modern amenities , friendly attitude of classmates attracted me most.
