World Cup Cricket-2011 is one of the greatest and gorgeous shows on earth. The day of 17th March in 2011 is undoubtedly a memorable and glorious day for Bangladesh. On this day, Bangladesh arranged successfully an inauguration ceremony of the World Cup Cricket Tournament 2011 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka. The cricket world did not see such a grand opening ceremony ever before. Bangladesh is one of its co-hosts along with India and Srilanka. The opening match of World Cup Cricket-2011 was also held in Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on 19th March. It was the match between Bangladesh and India. Total 14 countries took part in the World Cup 2011 Tournament. They were India, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Pakistan, Australia, England, West-Indies, Canada, Ireland, Zimbabwe, South Africa, New Zealand, Kenya and Holland. Among them, India Srilanka, Pakistan, Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa and New Zealand played in the quarter-final. But India, Pakistan, Srilanka and New Zealand played in the semi-final. The final match was held between India and Srilanka at Wangkhere Stadium in India on 2nd April, 2011. World Cup Cricket-2011 was able to melt the ice of two rival countries. In the high-voltage semi-final match between India and Pakistan, we found that the prime minister of India and Pakistan sat on the same sofa to enjoy the match. Thus World Cup Cricket-2011 will remain fresh in our mind for various memorable events.
