A bus stand is a very busy and noisy place where buses stop and start. Passengers come to a bus stand and wait for the buses because it is the halting place for the buses. Many buses come and go one after another in a bus stand there. Thousands of people pass through a bus station everyday. They get into the buses or get down from the buses there. A bus stand generally contains a ticket counter. Sometimes there are passengers' sitting places in a bus stand. It is a very crowded place. When a bus stops in a station from a distant place, shouting of the helpers and the conductors are heard continually. The passengers are seen waiting here to go to their respective destinations. The hawkers are also found here selling betel leaf, bread, chanachur, muri, cigarette, seasonal fruits, water bottles, soft drinks etc. It is a very useful place and it plays a very important role in our daily life.
